Basic Dynamic NAT Configuration



Lab steps:

1. labeling the interfaces
2. create a access list to allow network 192.168.10.0/24 to be translated
3. create a pool of public ip adresses from 63.64.57.2 to 63.64.57.5
4. Enable NAT with PAT (Port address Translation)



 
Step-1

Router1(config)#interface fastethernet 0/0

Router1(config)#ip nat inside

Router1(config)#ip address 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0

Router1(config)#interface fastethernet 0/1

Router1(config)#ip address 63.64.57.2 255.255.255.224

Router1(config)#ip nat outside

Step-2:

Router1(config)#access-list 1 permit 192.168.10.0 0.0.0.255

Router1(config)#ip nat inside source list 1 pool public-ips overload
